With sadness, I have to announce that the public forums have been closed to anonymous posting. This is a direct result of link spam being posted by botnets.
Considering I was spending too much time cleaning up the posts (which were starting to approach the rate of one every 15 minutes), updating the IP bans, and sending server logs to ISPs (and nearly always getting ignored). I was having to spend at least 30 minutes an evening just doing forum maintenance.
It was my desire to keep the forums open to the public, however, it's clear we just can't have nice things around here.
