Just in case you need a little extra umph, the conroe/P5B combination is renowned among psycho overclockers as THE system to have. My E6600 is currently running at 3.0Ghz (stock is 2.4) with the Zalman 9500AT cooler. Core temp readings have logged an occaisional 45C reading during game play, but usually hover around 33-38C, and 31 at idle. Previously idle temps were around 24-25C.

With a better (and I'm sure noisier) heatsink, many people are getting 3.6Ghz and rock solid stability. Some fool even got 4.0Ghz with my same cooler... but I suspect it wasnt very stable. Check out some of these numbers...

This was my first substantial overclocking excercise. There is a great "how-to" sticky post at Tom's hardware if you are curious.

Hope to see you all soon in game! Happy hunting!
